Update Files

This theme has certain admin styles to make the page editing look a little better. You can find them here: /wp-content/themes/my-theme-name/assets/admin/admin-styles.css

Before moving forward, you should look thru the functions.php file (/wp-content/themes/my-theme-name/functions.php) and update paths to js and css files as needed. It's already setup to enqueue scripts and fonts, but you'll need to update the paths to match your compiled css/js.

Start Styling

There is a file at the root of the site (/style-guide.php) that includes standard html elements. Edit it and update the links to match your final compiled css/js files. Then develop a base set of styles that work with that page (headings, form elements, etc). Do this instead of styling every element specifically in the block styling.

Emails

A default SMTP server has been setup to use on dev sites. It uses AWS's SWS service. It's sandboxed and only sends to verified email addresses. You only need to verify your email address 1 time. Don't verify client email addresses. See Chris Smith for help.

Tucson Convention Center

Description

This multi-phase capital improvement project for the iconic Tucson Convention Center delivered major upgrades across the entire facility, enhancing functionality, aesthetics, and the overall guest experience.

The first phase focused on revitalizing the plaza, transforming it into a welcoming gathering space with restored historic landscaping. Phase two introduced a brand-new parking garage and a 32,000 sf meeting room expansion to better serve large-scale events. The final phase brought extensive renovations to the existing music hall and arena—all completed while the facility remained fully operational in the heart of downtown Tucson.

Additionally, arena renovations included the installation of 2,080 new floor seats and approximately 4,860 upgraded fixed seats with cupholders, new event and house lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system, and two new scoreboards. Additional upgrades featured a redesigned breezeway entry, 14 fully renovated restrooms, new concession stands, updated electrical systems, ceiling tile replacements, repaired dasher mounting bolts and expansion joints, and new interior and exterior signage for improved wayfinding. Finishing touches included new soffits, ductwork repairs, guardrails, light fixtures, a privacy curtain, and custom perforated metal panels—creating a refreshed and modernized space for the community to enjoy for years to come.
