Concord and the Town of Sahuarita Celebrate Beam Signing for Police Department Expansion
Concord was proud to join the Town of Sahuarita and the Sahuarita Police Department for a special beam signing event, marking an exciting milestone in the department’s expansion project.
The event brought project partners, Town leaders, and SPD team members together to leave their mark on a piece of the future facility before it becomes part of the completed expansion. More than a construction milestone, the beam signing served as a meaningful reminder of the people and purpose behind the project: supporting the officers, staff, and community members who rely on a strong, modern public safety facility.
The Sahuarita Police Department Expansion Project is designed to modernize police operations, strengthen emergency response, support officer wellness, and provide the department with the space and resources needed to serve a growing community.
Once complete, the expansion will include a new Property and Evidence Warehouse built to support improved evidence handling and storage, a Crime Scene Services Laboratory to enhance forensic capabilities, expanded secure parking, a new west gate entry, and additional workspace for Criminal Investigations, Crime Scene staff, and administrative offices.
The project also includes a new annex building with a larger training room, a fully equipped gym to support officer wellness and long-term health, and a dedicated Emergency Operations Center that will serve as an updated hub for coordinating emergency response. A solar canopy system will also help reduce energy costs, provide shaded parking, and support long-term operational efficiency.
As construction continues, Concord is honored to help bring this important project to life. The beam signed today will soon be part of a facility built to support the men and women of SPD as they continue serving and protecting the Sahuarita community.
